MV Switchgear Upgrade for Connection of Papir Print Solar Power Plant

Elektrovat successfully carried out a complex upgrade of the 10 kV medium-voltage (MV) switchgear at the MBTS 10/0.4 kV “Korčaginova” substation.
Through this modernization, the reliability of the power supply for Papir Print d.o.o. has been significantly improved, and all technical and safety requirements for the connection of the Papir Print solar power plant (SPP) to the distribution system have been fully met.

This project marks an important step toward energy transition and sustainability, enabling the integration of renewable energy sources into the distribution network and supporting more efficient energy management.

Technical Specifications

  • Before upgrade: Air-insulated modular switchgear (PN2M-12)

  • After upgrade: Schneider Electric RM6, SF6 gas-insulated switchgear

  • Remote management: Easergy T300 RTU

  • Protection relay: Easergy P3U30 microprocessor-based protection

  • Measuring unit: Class 0.5 with GPRS communication

  • Energy quality monitoring: Phoenix EEM-MA770-R

Scope of Work

  • Dismantling of existing 10 kV MV switchgear

  • Delivery and installation of new RM6 switchgear

  • Testing and commissioning

  • Integration of remote terminal unit (RTU) Easergy T300

  • Installation of microprocessor-based protection equipment

  • Upgrade of the metering system in accordance with EPS standards
