Innovations and Challenges: Improvements at the Kolubara Thermal Power Plant
The Kolubara Thermal Power Plant, part of the “Nikola Tesla Thermal Power Plants” system, is one of the key power plants in Serbia and the region. Located near Lazarevac, this thermal power plant uses lignite from nearby mines as its primary fuel for electricity generation. The Kolubara Thermal Power Plant is part of a broader energy complex that includes other thermal power plants and lignite mines, making it an essential pillar of the Serbian power system.
Our expert staff had the opportunity to demonstrate and enhance their knowledge through various projects related to the Kolubara TPP. Through successfully completed projects and modifications, we managed to improve the efficiency and reliability of this power plant. We can highlight that our work included the modernization of transformer stations, improvement of cable lines, design and installation of new distribution facilities, as well as the implementation of sophisticated software solutions.
Elektrovat prides itself on its contribution to the development and modernization of the Kolubara Thermal Power Plant, one of the key energy facilities in Serbia.
