Elektrovat took part in the construction and designing of Wastewater treatment facility (WWTP) in Kočani, Macedonia.

In cooperation with the main contractor WTE Wassertechnik GmbH, Elektrovat performed the designing and implementation of the following items at the Kočani Wastewater Treatment Plant:

  • Production of delivery and installation of three EMP distribution plants.
  • Three PLC distribution cabinets.
  • Delivery and installation of instrumentation.
  • Installation of an electric motor drive.
  • Development of application software for PLC controllers.
  • Development of SCADA application software.
  • Putting the system into automatic operation mode.

The Kočani Wastewater Treatment Plant project was carried out with the following objectives in mind:

  • The protection of the receiving water bodies from pollution by domestic wastewater by constructing WWTP Kočani in full compliance with legal requirements.  
  • The protection of the environment and the reduction of odor emissions by constructing appropriate facilities for sewage sludge treatment and establishing sustainable sewage sludge management at WWTP Kočani.  
  • Promoting sustainable development and improved socio-economic conditions in the catchment area of WWTP Kočani as well as their surroundings by providing better living conditions for the residents. 
  • Highly flexible design with regard to future requirements.
